At Maverick Angels, Julia currently leads a network of 25 angel investors, with 120 companies in their portfolio. Since the Group was formed in 2006, Maverick has invested over $13 Million in their focus areas of: Big Data, Clean Tech & Energy, Social Entrepreneurship, ICT, Real Estate, Medical Devices & Products, Entertainment and Consumer Products.

Julia Dilts is the CEO & Co-Founder of Maverick Angels, an Angel Investment Network she founded over seven years ago with her late husband, John Dilts. Based in Southern California, Maverick also has international affiliations in Western Europe & Tel Aviv. Our mission includes mentoring and educating Global Entrepreneurs to fund promising early-stage companies for achieving successful exits, stimulating the economy and expanding the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Additionally, Maverick is presently creating strong collaborations with other Angel Groups, Incubators, Accelerators, Crowdfunding Platforms, Universities and Governmental Agencies to help develop a larger playing field for high-potential entrepreneurs. We believe in and champion start-ups—our goal is to provide the necessary tools to help entrepreneurs receive capital, resources and coaching from our investment network. Every month, we train and assist aspiring start-ups via our “Maverick Angels Investment Accelerator for Entrepreneurs” seminar. This intensive course is based on studying capitalized start-ups from around the world for over a 10-year period to determine what success factors an Entrepreneur must possess to become attractive to investors. Additionally, we have also enrolled experts in Financing; Valuations & Corporate Structuring; Legal Counsel and Social Media to guest-lecture at our Investment Accelerator.
Before Julia’s work with Maverick Angels, she was Co-Owner of Dilts Ventures, a Corporate Management Consulting Firm with an Entrepreneurial Approach to business. Julia and John advised corporate giants such as Nestle USA, Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, Fiat and Kraft Foods in areas such as Entrepreneurial Training within the Corporate Culture; Innovative Approaches to Product Development & Market-Entry Strategies; and Visionary Leadership.

Chance is an internet entrepreneur, investor and advisor who has started and bootstrapped several companies from inception to millions in revenues over the last 14 years. His interest and passion for technology startups comes from both hands-on technical knowledge and high growth marketing/customer acquisition experience, as demonstrated by having built technology and grown businesses that have acquired over 40,000,000 email subscribers online.
Prior to founding Crowdfunder in 2011, Chance left his most recent full time operational leadership role and became a hands-on investor and advisor for early stage growth companies, a Forbes Contributor on Startups and Crowdfunding, as well as a published best-selling Author & Speaker in the areas of Personal Development & Entrepreneurship.
In founding Crowdfunder, he played an early and significant role in JOBS Act legislation & regulation– engaged directly with top leadership across Congress, the White House and the SEC. Chance is a graduate of University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Economics. He lives in Venice, California where he is an Advisor or Board Member to a select group of socially conscious businesses and early stage startups, and surfs when the waves are good.
